For this project I was in charge of the packaging design, dieline layout and the design of the unboxing experience for JBL Aware headphones. My additional creative responsibilities included photo editing to the lifestyle photography, product editing and color matching. The sample products that arrived for the photoshoot were flawed and utilized incorrect materials, which required heavy color and rendering correction in order to be true to the product being sold. A very close relationship between myself, the Harman engineers and the Harman industrial design team was crucial for the success of this project. It was a global team collaboration where communication had to cross language barriers and multiple time zones.

Designing my wedding stationary was a genuinely enjoyable experience. It allowed me to solve the challenge of aesthetically merging a romantic, traditional event with the things that my husband and I respect most: modern architecture and the simplicity of Japanese gardens - representing nature in its purest form. I solved this challenge by creating an angular and unique dieline (“housing” our information), incorporating approachable and somewhat-expected script and serif typography, and the addition of free-flowing yet minimalistic bamboo throughout, easily guiding the reader from one section to the next. The result was a clean piece of stationary consisting of a color palette that one would find soothing within nature, but one that also acted as an informative device delivering information in a very interactive manner.
The invitation itself consisted of a multifold piece that housed two small, detachable pop-out schedules and a seperate RSVP form. The schedules were the size of a business card so that they could be easily stored in a wallet for travel. The invitation and envelopes were designed at full bleed so the images would meticulously merge whether folded or unfolded. Soft touch paper was utilized for the invitation to leave a sensory memory, and spot gloss and woodgrain stock was used on the envelopes to be cohesive with the nature-inspired concept.
